We have interests in skin neuroimmunology and the role of neurokinin-1 receptor in the cutaneous immune system, including the immunostimulatory effects of signaling via the neurokin-1 receptors in skin cells including mast cells, dendritic cells and T cells. We also have projects focused on skin immunology and dendritic cell biology including the goal of understanding the role of the skin microenvironment in modulating the function of resident DCs. In the area of cutaneous immunization we are generating DC vaccines for tumors.
